Hey all,
I just thought I'd ask people if anyone else besides me was shocked with the voting results. Of course, Galileo was in first place again, but I was disapointed that Lonestar got voted off. I was hoping that plip plop wasn't going to be voted off, and I'm glad that he's still here, but I guess I was just shocked with the percentages of everyone's results I guess. But, not everyone can win this, only one person, so it comes down to one person in the end anyway, so everyone but that person is going to be voted off weather they like it or not I guess. Well Jesica, I just wanted to say that I hope you keep singing and if anyone else gets voted off from here on out, it'll be a hard thing to face. I know it would be hard for me. But keep your head up singing. Singing is suppose to be fun, and that's what it should be, so don't lose hope, even if you didn't win. So best of luck to everyone that is, or isn't, in the show anymore.

Yes, I, too, was completely shocked and disappointed. I couldn't believe it, when they said that Jess was no longer going to be in the show. I, personally, thought this week was her best, and I just can't fathom why she got voted off. But, what's done is done. Jess, keep your head up, and good luck to you in the future.

I was mildly surprised, but not shocked. And you really shouldn't look at this like Jess, or anyone else, getting voted off. People voted for who they thought was the best, and the person who got the fewest votes was eliminated. To me, voting someone off would be voting for the person you liked the least, and then the person getting the most votes would be "voted off."
I'm all for that kind of competition. Lol
Well, at least we can say, that we proved the judges wrong for once, and that's kind of cool in a way. I'm not saying that the judges need to be right all the time, so that's why I'm saying this. But all and all, this is a good contest so far, and Matt is so shocked at what's happening, he just can't believe he's still in the contest, he thought he was out for sure. So anyway, at least the voting is in the people's hands and I guess we'll see what happens next week.

hey there darlings, I was so shocked at the voting results. I mean Jessica is an awesome singer, and anyone with a hint of common sense knows that last week she sang better than matt. She didn't just sing that song, she saaaaannnnng that song. It was so awesome. Anyways though I wonder what happened there? I also think we need to keep in mind that a computer is tabulating the results. Could there be a glitch in the programming that tabulates, or is this an accurate voting count. Computers are not perfect, and I just wonder. I did not get a chance to listen to the results show because of my dress rehersals for my performance with the Philadelphia gay men's chorus, but I was shocked to here that Jess was voted out. What happened here people? Well I guess we will all have to watch and see what happens here. Although I think Icon needs to give some sort of press statement or something of that sort. I know they have wanted to keep a lot quiet, but in such an instance perhaps a breakdown of how the programming works and so forth would not be a bad idea. Just a thought. Jess hunny, you rock, and I have to say, that in your case last week, Jesus did not need to take the wheel, you had it all by yourself even if people or computers don't realize it. rock on sista!

The problem is that the judges picked Plipplop to lose the contest fo the wrong reasons.
They chose to talk about how his accent was not good for the style of music he was doing and at think that made a lot of people feel like that it was unfair he should get booted off because of that reason.
Personally I think that last week was his best performance and The Sweetheart should have gotten voted off, even though last week was oe of her better performances as well.
So no computer glitches or anything like that as to why Mat was able to move on.
actually no, I didn't think jess was that good. I thought that the high notes sounded painful. but jess is popular on here isn't she so of course people are shocked.
Actually Claire, Jessica is not that popular on here! And if you look back at board posts from the beginning of this whole competition, and add those posts to her voting stats, you will see that in fact she and I are about as popular as each other as far as the Zone is concerned. If Jessica is as popular as you make out, then it would be her with the group voting scam going on, not me!

Oh my god. Claire! You must have me mistaken because if I were that popular then I would have stayed around, don't you think? come on now. First yall say that if I get in the comp it would be rigged had I won because I am dating Chris N, then you say that I am popular so people are shocked to see me go? Sheesh, people can't be happy with things around here. Best of luck to loui and Danielle, and Matt, you will be missed.
Well, I for one, did not vote based on popularity. I thought that last week was Jess's best week. This opinion is not based on popularity or anything like that. I don't even talk to Jess. I don't really talk to anyone on here. My opinion was truthful, and I truly believed that it was her best week. I also thought that Matt did a good job, and I was hoping that he didn't get voted off, either. I'm not sure what to say on the "rigging" idea or anything other controversy that's surrounding this whole thing. I will say, though, that I think it's all gotten out of hand. A good idea, has gone terribly bad.

Quite frankly I haven't heard any of the icon singing, which I am not overly pleased about but, life has been hectic lately. That aside, I get a huge chuckle out of the whole popularity and conspiracy notions. I fondly miss the days when this site was a more friendly community. LOL

Well now that I can be up for a while and not sleeping from sergery, I can reply to this. Well, I do agree with the zone being a hellhole and not as nice as it use to be. I voted for plip plop because I thought he did a really good job. I was so torn between voting for Matt or Jessica. I honestly didn't know what to do. I'm sorry I didn't vote for you Jes, but I thought you did an awesome job and thought that you deserved to stay on. But anyway, how did Galileo get all these votes? She's been in first place for 3 weeks now. I mean, i talk to her sometimes and all and she's nice to me, but someone told me that she was telling people to vote for her, or asking, I dunno which. A friend of mine said that they kept getting private messages from her and so did her bf, but they ignored it. They just voted for who sang best, and that's what I've been doing all along. I do think everyone who sang in the top 5 were really good singers, and I think this should be judged on talent, and not popularity, but that's just my own oppinion. Why can't we all just get along? I hardly come on here much just to check on the boards, because not many people talk to me, and the ones who do are some horney bastards. lol. Anyway, I'm starting to hurt again, so I'm gonna stop typing for now.

Now I'm gonna clear something up really quick if someone thinks I'm judging too harshly on Galileo. This is just something I heard and I know that this person that I heard it from doesn't like her, and I don't know if this is true, but she said that a few people were talking about it on the zone, and I believe her most of the time since she lives with me and my bf, but who knows. I guess I believed it when she said her bf got the same message and other people were talking about it, but I don't want to cause any trouble, I'm just saying what I heard. I wasn't involved in it because I figured it wasn't any of my business, but since so many people on here are complaining, I figured I'd bring it up, just because I wondered if it were true, and not some rumor. But I just wanted to let everyone know I'm not here to cause trouble, I'm too tired for that, and don't want to be involved in fighting. So I'm sorry if someone might think I'm dissing her when I'm not.
